Hardware & infrastructure

Providing a complete service

We can provide all of the hardware, communications and infrastructure for our retail EPoS solutions based around the Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (Microsoft RMS).  This includes back office servers, PC-based or SQL, till hardware for the point-of-sale, PC's, remote access and communications.

Back-office servers

Microsoft RMS back-office can be run from either a PC-based or SQL server dependent on your particular size, environment and requirements.

For larger singe sites or for retailers with multiple stores and a headquarters, a back-office SQL server is typically used to ensure stability, reliability and speed of use.

We provide HP (Hewlett Packard) servers. As every retailer and environment is different, we welcome the discuss your particular needs to identify the best server for you.

EPoS till hardware 

Dependent on the specification of any existing EPoS till hardware, sometimes this is suitable for re-use with Microsoft RMS, subject to further discussion and on-site inspection.

For those requiring new EPoS till hardware, we can provide integrated or modular tills based upon your personal preference or physical layout and space available in-store.  Intuitive touch screen EPoS tills are quick and easy to use. They also enhance the customer's experience at the point-of-sale, reducing the time taken to handle the transaction.

We use J2 Retail Systems integrated EPOS touch screen till hardware for Microsoft RMS, providing both reliability and robustness.

Alternatively for those serving trade customers with payments made on account rather than cash, debit or credit cards, Microsoft RMS can be used with a PC without the need for a cash drawer.

Integrated EFT chip & pin

Integrated EFT (electronic funds transfer) chip and pin handles credit and debit card payments as part of the sales transaction at the till. It removes the need to gain payment authorisation using a separate PDQ machine; reducing the time at the till point processing the sale as well as providing secure and reliable payment authorisation.

We provide different EFT chip and pin payment services to integrate with Microsoft RMS based upon the particular requirements or environment. We are the authors of both the Commidea and Yes Pay EFT chip and pin integrations, which are now their standard solutions for Microsoft RMS. These are suitable for card-present and card-not-present transactions for retail, kiosks, hospitality, mail order and eCommerce.

Hand held processing

Hand held processing for Microsoft RMS can streamline your stock management processes even further with features for booking in goods, stock taking, price checking and queue busting at peak times.

We use the Motorola MC3000 hand held devices with the gun configuration to provide fast, reliable data capture in real-time; allowing your team to complete activities efficiently and with greater speed.
