Philosophy

We believe that the provision of Information Technology Solutions is a professional service and should be provided in the same way as other professions. Our approach is to establish a partnership whereby we deliver the right advice and solutions for our clients. Our focus is upon building a long term relationship based upon mutual trust and confidence. We want to be a business partner because that is what works best for both parties, in all cases. The same approach is applied to our staff who display outstanding loyalty to the company; some members of the team having been with us for over 20 years and many more over 10 years. We take pride in achieving similar success in our customer retention levels too.

We never adopt a hard sell approach rather we first consider what our potential clients require, rather than what we want to sell to them. If we cannot provide a service to satisfy those requirements or we believe the clients expectations are unreasonable or unachievable, we will say so and we will 'walk away'. We have an unblemished track record and are now in our 30th year. No DRL project has ever failed to go-live and we have always been paid by our clients* (when they have still been trading). We have had no legal action taken against us regarding service provision of any sort in nearly 30 years of providing IT services; achieved by promising we could do only what we know we could do and then delivering on that promise. We will not jeopardise that very hard earned reputation. Our personnel operating in face-to-face commercial roles have exclusively been selected from within our technical team over the years. All of them have been responsible for systems implementations in their previous roles and this gives them a sense of perspective and level of product knowledge that our peers cannot match. This conviction of utilising technical personnel in commercial activities means we do not promise what cannot be achieved through either over-selling or a simple lack of understanding. This is not a gimmick it is symptomatic of how we believe our business should be conducted. The principal Pegasus commercial contact is Neil Fears who spent over 10 years in the implementation and support team before becoming a Director of the company in 2004. The Operations Director, Chris Worthington, was the team leader of the Technical Services Department for over 10 years until he became a Director of the company in 2002. Predominantly contact with Davidson-Richards on a pre-sale basis is conducted directly, or with the close involvement, of one of the Directors.
