October 2008 - Success at Amy's (Elmageta Ltd)
We are delighted to announce that Elmageta, the London-based housewares retailer known as Amy's chose Davidson-Richards and the Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (Microsoft RMS) as their Retail EPOS system going forward.
Chief Executive, Jeffrey Goodman explains, "When the time came to review and update our EPOS system, our options were to either upgrade our existing proprietary EPOS system or to also consider alternative suppliers and systems. We compared approaches, costs and technical information for alternative systems.
The decision to change was not based solely on the initial system cost nor advances in technology or system functionality. Finding a supplier with "commerciality"; one who understood the practical side of merging computerisation with day-to-day shop floor needs was critical. Communication and ongoing support were also important to ensure we gained the most value and ROI from the system in the longer-term. Davidson-Richards and Microsoft RMS satisfied these needs and the new system went live on the 1st of August this year.
We have experienced no problems to date and we find out current configurations superior to those we previously had. The change-over has proved to be basically seamless".
